Beyond Inbox is a software to Backup, Archive, Organize, Transfer and Restore IMAP Email.

Backup Email From Multiple IMAP Accounts
Beyond Inbox requires an IMAP profile to be configured to backup, restore, copy and move the emails in IMAP account. This profile contains information related to the email account to be backed up. Beyond Inbox Enhanced Reporting And Features
Today we are releasing Beyond Inbox version 2011.07.03.03. This version brings new features, along with the improvements over last version.
1. Report for Failed Messages:
We are releasing one of the most requested feature, report for each failed process, whether it is copy, move, restore or backup of email. It shows you a message with the reason for the failure of the process.
2. Test IMAP Connection:
Now you can test the IMAP connection while creating an IMAP profile, with the “Test Connection” option. You do not need to connect from Advanced download or Backup Plan to verify the provided information.
3. Stop Listing:
Now you can stop the listing, after you have started listing IMAP folders, by clicking on the “Stop Listing” button.

Beyond Inbox New Features
We are excited to announce the new version of Beyond Inbox. We have released some significant enhancements in this version.
Copy/Move all email from selected folder:
This version of Beyond Inbox enables you to copy/move all email from a selected folder of one IMAP account to any specified folder of another IMAP account. Also, we now allow transferring larger number of email than the Page Size configuration.
Connection with SSL and without SSL:
The new version of Beyond Inbox allows the SSL connection option while configuring the IMAP profile, which is used with given port and email account information to make connection with a specified Server.
Some other changes:
- This version has been upgraded with JavaMail 1.4.4 and has many user interface related improvements.
- You can activate Beyond Inbox and Beyond Inbox Commander from the same folder and run.

Backup Plan- Take Incremental Backup Of Your Email Account
We are pleased to introduce the “Backup Plan“ feature in this version of Beyond Inbox.
If you have recently taken a full backup of your email account and want to take another backup due to some new email, you should not have to take another complete backup. You should be able to take a backup of the new email arrived after you took your last backup.
Beyond Inbox has introduced a feature called Backup Plan, which allows you to take such incremental backup of your email account. First, you need to configure a backup plan, which is very quick and easy with Beyond Inbox interface. Once you have configured it, Beyond inbox will start the backup from the time you completed a full backup with the same profile last time.
Few things about Backup Plan:
- Date range supported for full backup plan is from January 1st, 1970 to December 31st, 2099.
- If the backup plan was not completed successfully last time, next time when you run the same backup plan, it will take Incremental Backup from the date when it failed.
- Beyond Inbox also maintains the statistics of complete backup plan runs as a report.
- Beyond Inbox provides a way to see report of failed to backup email.

Quick Search Beyond Inbox Email Backup Using Google Desktop and Windows Search
How can we search the backup taken using Beyond Inbox ?
Searching email backup with the search provided by the Operating System can be challenging.
Different email clients back up in different formats, not all of which are easily readable or searchable. Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird create backup files with extension .pst, .dbx, .msf respectively and you will need a converter to read these files.
Beyond Inbox saves backup files on your native file system in .eml format, which is a universally readable format.
Beyond Inbox has an option to configure data path at start-up, so that you know the path of the email downloaded. You can choose the option to not to show this path or you may forget the path of backup taken earlier.
Regardless, Windows Desktop search will help you to search all eml files at your local file system.

Restore, Copy and Move email with Beyond Inbox
Beyond Inbox first release comes with many more features in addition to backup – Restore backup, Copy and Move email.
Restore Email Account:
If you ever loose your email by accidentally deleting or due to any other reason, you can quickly restore from the local backup using Beyond Inbox. You can take advantage of this “Restore” feature if you backup your email regularly using Beyond Inbox. You can gain your lost email using this feature by simply dragging and dropping into the desired email account. Another way to restore is just by clicking on restore button on the Copy and Move panel.
Beyond Inbox takes email backup in .eml format. Once we have a backup, then its very handy to restore with Beyond Inbox. You can restore backed up eml files to any IMAP enabled account quickly. We also provide the feature to view failed report if any failures happen while restoring.

Copy Email from one account to another:
Why do you need to copy email?
You may run into situations like
- You want to have a more professional or new email address.
- You want to merge email from multiple active email accounts a single account.
- You receive thousands of junk, spam email into your current account and now want to use new email account.
In all of these cases, you would want to copy important email from old email account to the new one.
To do so, instead of forwarding each email to another account, it is much more efficient if we could copy bunch of email to another account. Beyond Inbox introduced copy email feature in version 2010.05.00.00, which enables you to copy multiple email to new email account.
You can copy complete email folders or you can copy selected emails to same account as well as to another account. This feature is similar to forwarding email where you can choose desired destination folder to forward.

Move Email to another account:
To get started with the move process, make sure that both the source and the destination accounts are IMAP enabled. You can enable IMAP to any free Gmail account or email that belongs to a domain name.
Once IMAP is activated, you can move selected email to another folder of the same account or you can directly move complete folder to another account.
Once all email are moved, refresh the listing to view the changes on both sides. Moving email is a nice feature for situations when you do not want to retain copied message at the source account. We also provide the feature to view failed report if any failures happen during the move of email.

Beyond Inbox Commander : Backup, Schedule and Reports
Beyond Inbox comes into two flavors – Beyond Inbox User Interface and Beyond Inbox Commander. It is a separate product from Beyond Inbox. It is designed for backup process only.
Regular backup of your email is essential because:
- If your main Gmail account gets hacked, you can access all your previous email through backup
- If you accidentally delete an important email, you can easily retrieve it from the backup
- If the email service goes down, then you will still be able to read your older emails from the backup
Beyond Inbox Commander is a command line version of Beyond Inbox.
This product has been developed specifically for backup of email and can be purchased without having to purchase the full featured user interface of Beyond Inbox. If you do not purchase the Beyond Inbox with full set of features, you can create the configuration file for Beyond Inbox Commander manually to take email backup and send Backup process report.
